Beijer Electronics Acquires QSI Corporation Upcoming Events

On 22 October 2010, QSI Corporation was acquired by Beijer Electronics. Beijer Electronics is a publicly traded company out of Malmö, Sweden with offices in sixteen countries. Their HMI Product business area is best known for their powerful iX software and robust line of HMI terminals. QSI Corporation will be the North American subsidiary of Beijer Electronics. The company will continue to offer its rugged line of terminals in both the industrial (QTERM®) and vehicle (TREQ®) markets along with Beijer Electronics' hardware and software.

The TREQ-M4 and soon-to-be-released TREQ-M4x mobile data terminals meet all the hardware requirements of the recently published USDOT FMCSA 395.16 Rule 4 for Electronic On-Board Recorders (EOBRs).

TREQ-M4x
Unveiled at the ATA Expo in Phoenix, the TREQ-M4x mobile data terminal boasts the same powerful features as the TREQ-M4 but offers wireless communication and control. The TREQ-M4x includes GPS and a quad-band GSM/GPRS modem for your location-based applications like mapping and navigation, as well as data communication for messaging and routing. The TREQ-M4x is certified to meet USDOT EOBR rule 395.16.

The QSI QTERM-A12
The new 12.1" HMI terminal, the QTERM-A12 will feature a vivid 800 x 600 SVGA 307 mm (12.1") display, resistive touch screen. Choose from iX Software for automation control or program directly in the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 environment. The environmentally rugged QTERM-A12 will have an extended temperature range and be Class I Div 2 Certified.
