Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. 12 April 2011—Beijer Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of human machine interface (HMI) products and mobile data terminals, is pleased to introduce three new operator panels. The new iX Panel TxA operator panels are available in a variety of display sizes and feature the upgraded iX software with multiple drivers to communicate with most automation equipment.

Offered in three sizes, the iX Panel TxA touch panels are available with a 4.3", 7" or 10.4" display. The wide screen display in the 4.3" and 7" units provide a 30% larger viewing area, which increases usability for complex user applications. The TFT displays are equipped with LED dimmable backlighting for long life. Additional features include a lightweight aluminum housing, built-in Ethernet, USB and four serial ports.

The TxA panels include the upgraded iX 1.30 software. iX is unique in the automation industry because of its intuitive design environment, scalable vector graphics, open platform and ability to connect to existing hardware.

"Designed with input from our customers, the TxA series has been well received," said Bob Mullins, Industrial Product Manager for Beijer Electronics, Inc. "While the hardware is impressive, it is the iX software and its capabilities that get the most reaction."

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH. 24 March 2011 - QSI Corporation (a Beijer Electronics Group Company), a designer and manufacturer of human machine interface terminals, announce that their panel-mount QTERM®-G72 terminal was selected by Dornoch Medical Systems, Inc., an industry leader in infectious fluid management solutions. The QTERM-G72 acts as the user interface for equipment that collects and safely disposes of fluids collected during surgical procedures such as heart surgery or arthroscopic joint surgery.

Dornoch's unique technology safely collects and disposes of infectious fluids and then disinfects the reusable cylinders which reduces employee exposure and risks to the environment. The QTERM-G72 allows the surgical staff to safely control the collection and disposal of infectious fluids in operating rooms and medical facilities.

"We chose the QTERM-G72 over other terminals because we needed an extremely reliable terminal with a large, high resolution touch screen display, strong processor and low radio frequency emissions," said Larry Smith, Director of Research and Development for Dornoch Medical Systems. "The QTERM-G72 matches up perfectly with our fluid equipment and offers easy programmability and control."

The QTERM-G72 features a 7" (177 mm), 800 x 480 pixel, LED lighted TFT-LCD display, resistive touch screen, 10/100Base-T Ethernet, Atmel® ARM-9 processor and two serial ports. Qlarity® object-based programming language and design environment is included at no additional charge. The QTERM-G72 is IP66 and NEMA-4X rated.

"QSI was excited to take on the challenge of designing a terminal that met Dornoch's strict medical requirements and specifications," said Bill Woahn, QSI Corporation's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We are pleased that the QTERM-G72 proved to be the perfect solution for Dornoch's innovative fluid management system."

Salt Lake City, Utah. 14 October2010—QSI Corporation, designer and manufacturer of rugged human machine interface (HMI) and mobile data terminals, partners with ISE Fleet Services, a new company by mobile software leader Innovative Software Engineering, to offer the mDash 4 on-board computer. The mDash 4 is a combination of technologies from ISE Fleet Services and QSI Corporation and is part of ISE Fleet Services' eFleetSuite product family. eFleetSuite is a set of end-to-end applications designed to reduce risk, prevent accidents, boost productivity and manage FMCSA compliance.

ISE Fleet Services' eFleetSuite is a customizable, modular and scalable solution that is easy to deploy and simple to use for the automation of safety and compliance. The mDash 4 in-cab electronic on-board recorder (EOBR) contains the mobile component of eFleetSuite. This component acts like the "safety manager" that is present with drivers in real time to help them stay within safety and compliance parameters (HOS, current documentation, potential speeding violations, etc). Roadside inspections are aided by providing information for a clean inspection that leads to a good driving record and an improved fleet CSA 2010 score.

The mDash 4 communicates wirelessly using a robust communications system over a nationwide cellular network. Safety compliance officers, fleet managers, dispatchers and maintenance personnel will use eFleetSuite's web application for real-time, paperless compliance and resource management. eFleetSuite is available for fleets in December, 2010 through ISE Fleet Services at www.isefleetservices.com

Designed to connect to most automation equipment whether it be on the factory floor or outside in harsh conditions. The QTERM-A7 has NEMA-4X / IP66 sealing, operates in extended temperature ranges and is certified for use in Class I Div 2 hazardous locations.

Features include a widescreen 177 mm (7"), 800 x 480 pixel TFT-LCD display, resistive touch screen, Ethernet 10/100Base-T interface with two USB 2.0 full-speed host ports and two serial ports to connect to nearly any device. The QTERM-A7 is environmentally tested to withstand shock, vibration and humidity and can operate in temperatures ranging from -30 to 70 °C (-22 to 158 °F).

The QTERM-A7 offers a choice of programming platforms: iX Software by Beijer Electronics, QSI's new Qlarity® 3, Windows® Embedded CE 6.0 or a third-party software. iX includes drivers to communicate with automation equipment (PLC, motion control, etc), scalable vector-based graphics (WPF), open architecture (.NET, C#), intuitive design environment and enhanced HMI functionality for today's automation control market. Designed by QSI, Qlarity 3 is an object-based programming language that supports high color vector graphics. Offered at no additional charge, this BASIC-like graphic terminal programming language uses objects to display information on the screen, accept user input and communicate with other devices. Windows® Embedded CE 6.0 allows for easy integration with existing systems and offers a variety of programming and software options.

"The new QTERM-A7 gives our customers a rugged terminal with enhanced environmental capabilities, a variety of design platforms to choose from and the ability to connect with most standard automation equipment," stated Bill Woahn, QSI Corporation's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We are very excited to offer the rugged QTERM-A7 to our customers as an option for industrial automation control."
